Nissan Skyline GT-R
The Nissan Skyline has been one of the most impressive cars ever built dating back to its inception in 1969. Back then it was a four door sedan which won thirty six races in less than two years. Fast forward to today, you will find a beautiful work of art which still has all the bloodlines of its predecessors, now accompanied by state of the art electronics and its first debut in the Americas.
The new GT-R is a twin turbo VR 38 motor, which pumps out an impressive 480 horse power. All this power allows the GT-R to accelerate from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. This is what Nissan claims on its website; however in its first actual test in Japan by Edmunds.com I believe, it accelerated from 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, impressive! All this power gets to the wheels via an all new six speed duel clutch transmission which can shift in two tenths of a second. After this power get through the transmission it is poured into an all wheel drive system with a tri-differential and all wheel drive transfer case.
Now I have been around to a few forums and I have read some comments on YouTube. One of the comments that keeps popping up is that it does not come with a traditional six speed manual configuration. I am guessing this is for two reasons. First, if you have a transmission that is designed for racing and can shift in 0.2 seconds why have a traditional manual? I am sure someone’s retort will be, “its more fun.” To that I say you are correct. However this does bring me to my second point. For those of you who do want to control your RPM’s it does come with column mounted 6 speed sequential paddle shifters. Granted you do not have control over your clutch, but look at the bright side, you can’t burn it out or grind gears.
The GT-R comes standard with 20 inch wheels and the performance edition has nitrogen inflated tires to lighten its curb weight. To stop this bad boy the GT-R is equipped with four internally ventilated 15″ Brembo disk breaks which bring it from 60-0 in less than 120 feet. The GT-R also is equipped with a real time data display which lets you assess your driving skill in real time, something that is not found any other car in its price class. The GT-R starts at around $69,000 and maxes out just under $72,000.
I must say I am partial to the GT-R and I am very excited that it is coming to the United States for the first time. This car has been designed to run with Porsche’s around the track and drag with the Z0-6. I am interested to see what the corvettes numbers look like this year and I await the road test to pit the GT-R against the Z0-6.
P.S. To all of you, who are thinking and commenting about the ZR-1 Corvette, just remember it’s probably going to be around 20 to 30 thousand more than the GT-R.

Mitsubishi Outlanders are developed by the world’s renowned company and famous motor makers- The Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. Mitsubishi Outlander is a compact crossover SUV and it was introduced in Japan almost a decade ago, in the year 2001. Earlier, it was known as Mitsubishi Airtek and also Mitsubishi ASX. The design of Mitsubishi Outlander is based on Mitsubishi ASX (Active Sports Crossover) along with the style of XUV. These Outlanders were created in order to give better features to the drivers in terms of driving and mileage and comfort. The model has unique features and is equipped with all-season abilities with off-road abilities with high ground clearance. Mitsubishi Outlander has 4-wheel drive and this is the best for emissions, size and economy including the mileage and looks.
The outstanding outlander from Mitsubishi is created for better performance and this semi automatic car is one of the best cars. When you drive this, you will realize that you have crossed something that you did not cross earlier- you will cross the limit of your ultimate experience. This joy of owning an Outlander will make you and your family feel great about it. When these outlanders were launched, the market of cars went down and the sales of these models were high. They have started gaining a lot of reputation along with revenue. It was also known as the revenue generating model. The sales went up more than 89% alone in the year 2001 and in 2002, it went up to 94% respectively.
The first generation Mitsubishi Outlanders were introduced in the year 2001, in the month of June and were named as Mitsubishi Airtrek. The price of this model was about 3 Million Yens. There were 2 variants- 126 PS (93kw) 4G63 and 139 PS (102 kw) 4G64 L GDI. The semi automatic transmission was sophisticated and these variants were considered as the best in automobile industry. The 4-wheel drive variant of Mitsubishi Airtrek has normal features and the front and rear axles were used for high performance. In the year 2002, a new revolution came up when the company introduced Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution with 4G63T 2.0 L trubo. The engine of this car produced more 240 PS (180 kw) and 343 N.m (lb.ft).
The Mitsubishi Outlander gained a lot of popularity in the year 2003 and many people preferred this model. One of the main reasons was that the youth preferred this for racing after dark. Yes, there were people who used to use this model for racing. The extra protection and comfort of this car were the best features. People even customized and modified this model with stickers and various funky things. You have to make sure about the rates before you go for this model. However, if you compare prices then the prices are too less and also, the performance is the best. So, what do you think? Do you prefer price or performance? The choice is yours.
Buying the Mitsubishi Outlander
We needed a seven seater that was higher than a normal sedan (to get the kids in easily), wasn’t too heavy on fuel, that would hold its resale value, wasn’t too big and not too expensive. This meant buying a seven seater Japanese SUV (the Japanese cars hold their value better than other cars here in Australia). Due to the limited range of SUV’s that meet our criteria, we settled on a white 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 LS.
Driving Review
It’s a pleasant car to drive although the engine is nothing spectacular. The engine is powerful enough although is certainly no racing engine (it is only a 2.4 in a fairly big body so the lacklustre performance can be excused). The engine feels somewhat unresponsive however reaching the speed limit is achieved with ease.
The car feels very sturdy on the road in two or four wheel drive; use of four wheel drive has been necessary to get up our very slippery and steep driveway. The car feels wider and longer than it actually is which takes a bit of getting used to but this does make one feel safe. We had the optional reversing sensors fitted which should really be a standard feature.
The CVT (automatic) gearbox is awesome being smooth and effective and adapts well to driving conditions. Fuel consumption however is heavier than expected although reviews we read prior to purchase warned us of this.
The only negatives are that the controls for the stereo on the steering wheel are a little small and the indicator sound should be louder (these are very small annoyances however).
Mitsubishi Quality
The Outlander is solid and very well built. We have found no reason to complain about the quality and have found that everything works as it should and all fittings are firm as one would expect.
We haven’t had the vehicle long enough to comment about the engine reliability however this should be good as Mitsubishi uses the same engine and parts in various models. The five year warrantee also provides peace of mind.
Mitsubishi Outlander Review Conclusions
We are extremely happy so far and are convinced that we made the correct purchase decision. It ticks all the boxes for us and both my wife and I love driving the Outlander.

If you are looking for a Lancer Evolution for sale and want to find out more about the car first, it is important to investigate and collect all the information that you need to know before buying your dream car. It is also called the lancer EVO and came out in October of 1992. First, Mitsubishi made 2,500 of the evolutions, which sold out within 3 days, meaning this car was a very popular car from the start. The original lancer and the lancer evolution are very different in the making; the lancer evolution was made with improvements to the fuel injection, turbo, and the engine internals. The front mounted intercooler was made larger to help cool the engine much faster and it also included its own water spray system as well. These changed gave the lancer an extra 10bhp, however, the car is capable of producing much more power. The GSR version is a more focused version of the car and comes with leather Recaro seats, air conditioning, Momo steering wheel, anti lock brake system, tinted glass, electric windows and mirrors, and a six speaker car audio system.
The evolution has a turbocharged engine and a four-wheel drive system, which usually attracts younger drivers. The reinforced platform offers additional safety attributes to the driver, which is needed for a vehicle that is as powerful as this. The hood, roof, front fenders, and front bumper beam are all aluminum. The windshield washer fluid tank and battery are mounted in the trunk for better weight distribution when driving in this car. The lancer evolution also has Active Stability Control (ASC), which constantly monitors the traction between road and the tires; if there is any loss of control or slippage the ASC will alert the control unit, which then applies the brakes on certain wheels to help keep the vehicle moving in the direction the driver intends to move. The lancer evolution is also equipped with airbags that are not usually on ordinary vehicles. In addition to standard airbags, the lancer evolution also has six other standard airbags, such as the airbag under the driver’s dash for your knees and legs if a certain frontal collision may occur that could damage these parts of your body.
Chances are if you love the lancer evolution so do other people, such as thieves that may attempt to steal your vehicle. The anti-theft alarm system that this car has is a brilliantly engineered, tough, integrated anti-theft alarm system with an immobilizer key to protect your car. All of these things are just some of the wonderful features you will have when purchasing the lancer evolution. A brand new lancer evolution could cost around $34,000; however, a used one can cost $25,000, $14,000, and even lower depending on the year, miles, and dealer or private party seller that is selling the vehicle.
