Hyundai Sonata Turbo May Well Be The Car Of 2011
Posted by admin in Hyundai Sonata Turbo on
Feeling that urge to drive a powerful machine? Hyundai might soon have just what you need. Not especially known for their powerful vehicles, Hyundai will now tentatively enter that arena. Sonata 2011 buyers will be interested to see the power behind this new turbo.
Recently at a press conference in Korea it the price for the new Hyundai Sonata Turbo was thrown out to the media by Hyundai CEO John Krafcik. The price point will being at just under $25,000 which knocks the legs out from under the competition, most of which are at least $3,000 higher.
That said, are Sonata drivers really looking for a Turbo ride or are they happy with their current sedate, smooth ride? Well considering the money spent by most automakers on customer preferences and projections, one would have to assume that the customers have requested more power or Hyundai would likely have gone another direction in upgrading the model. The 2011 Hyundai Sonata has created its own buzz and the Turbo will no doubt repeat that feat.
The Sonata Turbo can put out 274 horsepower while still maintaining 32 mpg from the 2.0L four-cylinder engine. The fuel economy is pretty impressive for such power. The intention behind the Turbo is that it be faster and more efficient than similar models with V6 engines such as Chevy Malibu, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.
And it gets better! Krafcik also dropped the news that Hyundai”s sports coupe, which has been in the works for quite awhile, will use a 1.6L direct injection four-cylinder to pull 140 horsepower with a commendable 40 mpg highway. The sports coupe is called Veloster and is being built to compete with the Honda CR-Z. Hyundai so far has the upper hand (or wheel) on mileage and power.
So if you”??re power-hungry for an affordable, fuel efficient ride that will impress the neighbors/kids/coworkers/postal carrier, Hyundai will soon have a couple of fun choices for you. Right now, though, Sonata 2011 models are available and they offer all the comfort and savings you expect with a few new tech toys thrown in.
The 2011 Hyundai Sonata is sleek and bold and it should be since it took four years to design. Hyundai describes the sedan as “out of the ordinary sedan and it puts out 200 horsepower even with its incredible mileage. Once you take a look at it you will have to admit that it doesnt look like every other car on the road. Hyundai claims “you dont have to conform to compete” and I think they got it right on that point, as well as all those involving the new Sonata.
